getting started

why blog? i thought this might be a convenient way to keep everyone up to date on the latest happenings in my life. last august after finishing what i consider to be the first chapter of my life, i moved across the country to attend school at BYU, leaving behind many people that i love. sometimes it is hard to keep in touch with so many people, or remember to tell them something funny that happened, or share what i am thinking or feeling, so hopefully this will help. i don't know what it takes to be a quality blogger yet, so here we go.
